The Clinton Police Department is investigatign a home invasion and armed robbery incident.

The incident happened Sunday night at approximately 10:45 in the 1600 block of East Main Street. A single suspect entered the home, showed a weapon, and fled with undisclosed items in his/her possession.

Residents nearby reported sounds of shots fired or fireworks. It is unconfirmed that the two are related.

An investigation is ongoing at this time. No one was hurt in the incident and no arrests have been made.
