NASCAR fined Kurt Busch $50-thousand on Tuesday for wreckless driving and a post-race altercation with Ryan Newman's crew members. Busch was also placed on probation through July 25th for the incident. The altercation stemmed from when Busch got a flat tire that caused him to spin with six laps remaining in the race. He proceeded to do a burnout through Newman's pit stall after stopping to repair his car.

(Concord, NC) -- The 28th running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race gets underway on Saturday at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Drivers who qualify for the all-star race are those who won a Sprint Cup Series event from either the 2011 or 2012 seasons. Additionally, drivers who won the all-star race or the series championship within the previous 10 years are eligible. Three more competitors will be added to the field on Saturday night, with the top-two finishers in The Sprint Showdown and the winner of the Sprint Fan Vote advancing. Over the past eight seasons, the all-star race has had eight different winners. Carl Edwards won the star-studded affair last year. The next Sprint Cup Series race is the Coca-Cola 600 on May 27th at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kevin Harvick won last year's race.
