Today marks the deadline for NFL players who received a franchise tag to sign long-term deal and Bears running back Matt Forte says he's optimistic he'll ink a new contract.  Chicago has been working over the weekend to sign Forte rather than have him play under a one-year tender worth just south of eight-million-dollars.  The deadline to sign Forte to a long-term contract is today at 3 p.m. Central time.
