Each late-August and early-September, ruby-throated hummingbirds gather in the marsh at Weldon Springs State Park to feast on the nectar of spotted jewelweed flowers before their annual migration southward.
Get a close-up look at this tiny winged jewel and the fascinating wildflower that helps fuel its high-energy existence. Join us Sunday, September 2, 2012 from noon to 4 PM at the marsh, below Chautauqua Picnic Area. Participants should feel free to come and go anytime throughout the afternoon.
