One Clinton School leader was recently bestowed a prestigious yearly honor.

Principal of Clinton's Grade Schools Washington and Douglass Elementary Schools, Beth Wickenhauser recently received the "Clinton Business Women's Club Career Women of the Year" for 2012. Wickenhauser says the award came as quite a surprise, as she was simply asked to come and give a brief presentation on her schools to the Woman's Club.

What makes the award more rewarding for her because she didn't know it was an award they handed out, and as she explains, to receive it not knowing she was being watched is quite an honor.

The Women's Club notified Wickenhauser's family prior to the event, so they were able to enjoy the award being given to her as well. She thanks the Women's Club for the recognition and feels the community and it's groups do a good job of recognizing the good work being done by the many individuals that make Clinton such a great community.
