A freight train derailed in Decatur, causing six rail cars to topple down a steep embankment close to a roadway.
No injuries were reported in the derailment, which occurred Sunday night in a northern part of the city.
Firefighters say the six derailed Canadian National cars were carrying soybean oil and limestone.
Reports indicate the train derailed on a section of track that dead-ended before a road.
Witnesses say it appears the train cars traveled too far and rammed through the end of the track, grinding to a halt just yards from Mound Road.
Officials say no hazardous materials were involved.
