>>Blackhawks Win Shootout Over Canucks

(Chicago, IL) -- Andrew Shaw scored the deciding goal in the shootout to give the Blackhawks a 4-3 win over the Canucks. Chicago has at least a point in 16 straight games to start the season, tying a mark set by the 2006-07 Anaheim Ducks. The 'Hawks have won three straight to move to 13-0-and-3. Marian Hossa [[ HO-sah ]] had a pair of goals, but had to be helped off the ice after a collision with Jannik Hansen in the third period. Patrick Sharp also scored for the Blackhawks while Ray Emery made 29 saves. The Canucks trailed 3-1 but rallied with two late third-period goals, one by Alex Edler on the power play and the other from Kevin Bieksa. Daniel Sedin [[ se-DEEN ]] recorded his fifth goal of the season for Vancouver. Corey Schneider made 40 saves as the Canucks lost their third straight to fall to 8-3-and-4.

>>Sharks Skate Past Blues

(St. Louis, MO) -- Tim Kennedy's third-period tally proved to be the game winner as the Sharks topped the Blues, 2-1. Joe Thornton also scored for San Jose, which ended a seven-game losing streak. The Sharks had started the year 7-and-0 before going 0-4-and-3 in their next seven. Antti Niemi turned away 25 shots in the win. Patrik Berglund gave St. Louis a lead with his ninth goal of the year in the first period. Jake Allen made 23 saves for the Blues, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
