University of Illinois Physics Van Stopping At Warner Library

The Warner Library has a special program they are hosting this afternoon.

The University of Illinois Physics Van will make a stop at the Warner Library this afternoon. The Physics Van is a student run program through the University of Illinois. Scott Luedtke is the student leader of the Physics Van, he explains their program gives them an opportunity to perform different demonstrations to kids.

While the program is always a good time for kids, Luedtke says the program is a great time for the students as well. He feels it shows kids that science isn't always boring, in fact, it can be a lot of fun.

The program kicks off at the Warner Public Library from 3:40 until 4:30 this afternoon.

The Physics Van will also be at DeLand Weldon Schools Thursday March 7.

Luedtke notes they travel generally within 100 miles of the University of Illinois campus. He says they've traveled as far as New Mexico and Florida for presentations. He says they are always willing to come and do their demonstrations for many types of groups. To learn more, you can visit van.physics.illinois.edu.
