The Cubs signed 21 players yesterday, including second baseman Darwin Barney. All the contracts were deals for the 2013 season. Barney hit .254 with seven homers and 44 RBI last season. Catcher Welington Castillo and pitcher Travis Wood, Brooks Raley and Chris Rusin were among the other notables to agree to terms.
