One lingering question regarding Social Security involves benefits for prisoners.
Kevin Rice, with Social Security, explains many wonder what happene2 to Social Security dollars once a beneficiary has been imprisoned. He adds they administer two specific programs to deal with these situations. If a person's in jail for more than 30 days, checks will stop under the SSI program. Yet, Social Security benefits will only stop if there is a conviction with incarceration.
