More Students Taking Advanced Placement Testing

State officials say more high school kids in Illinois are choosing to take advanced placement tests. Mary Fergus, with the State Board of Education, says 23-percent of all juniors and seniors took the test this spring.

Advanced placement courses range from things like History, to Calculus and Foreign Language. The classes offer a higher level of learning and can help students earn college credit.
