Blackhawks Fall In Overtime

(Chicago, IL) -- Mikael Backlund scored the winning goal with just 24.8-seconds left in overtime as the Flames edged the Blackhawks 2-1 at the United Center. Dennis Wideman lit the lamp in the second period for Calgary, which improved to 3-2-and-0. Jonas Hiller stopped 49 of the 50 shots he faced in the victory. Andrew Shaw scored the lone goal with 5:45 to go in the third for the 'Hawks, who were coming off wins over Dallas and Buffalo to begin the year. Corey Crawford allowed both goals on 18 shots in the setback.

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Blues begin their first road trip of the young season tonight in Los Angeles. They take on the defending Stanley Cup champion Kings at 9:30 p.m. The Blues are 1-1-and-0 on the season after Saturday's 4-1 win over Calgary. They also play Arizona and Anaheim on this road trip.
