The Clinton Lady Maroons used a strong third quarter effort to finish off PORTA, 51-37, in their second game of the Clinton Holiday Turkey Tussle.

A 16-4 run in the third propelled the Lady Maroons to a 41-24 lead heading to the fourth and the Lady Maroons would hold off PORTA late.

Jessica Scott led the way with 26 points. Peyton Bieber was the only other player to finish in double-figures for Clinton, she finished with 15.

The Lady Maroons also shot 17 of 30 at the free throw line for the night.

The Lady Maroons improve to 2-0 on the season and in the opening tournament of the season.

Clinton will play Friday at 7:15 pm against Olympia at Clinton High School.
