Businesses that sell firewood say they're selling out fast.
Reports say local producers hare already run out of wood.
Local nursery owner Terry Marshall says some residents have been doubling their firewood orders compared to last year in anticipation of another cold winter.
Firewood must be "seasoned" or dried for a year or longer after it's cut, and suppliers often cut the wood a year or two ahead of time to ensure a steady supply.
Tyler Stevenson of Timber Tree Inc. says he normally has a mountain of firewood from year to year, but sold everything he had last year.
He says he might not be able to sell any next year so that he can replenish his supply.
