You may have set many New Year's Resolutions for yourself or you and your spouse, but what about your kids? A local pediatrician is encouraging parents to help your children to make their own special resolutions for this year.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently published a list of age appropriate New Year's resolutions for various age groups and Dr. Tricia Scerba, Pediatrician at the Doctor John Warner Hospital, says kids ages 2-4 should be able to comprehend what a resolution is. She hopes you will encourage them to keep healthy habits such as hand washing or brushing their teeth.

Kids can learn valuable lessons in communication even at a young age. Dr. Scerba notes your preschool age kids have the ability to grasp being kind to others and recognizing those in need.
