Organizers Continue To Ready For Return of 'Tour DeWitt' Ride

width=A returning event to DeWitt County is a little more than a month away and local organizers are very excited about it's potential this year.

Steve Lobb (right with his wife, Dana) heads a group of organizers that are bringing back the "Tour DeWitt" bike ride in August. According to Lobb, the event went away in recent years and he hopes to bring it back and benefit the local non-profit, Child Protection Network, at the same time.

Lobb indicates the event will have four legs. There will be two beginner and intermediate courses and then two more challenging courses. Lobb says it is a non-competitive ride he believes anyone can participate in.

According to Lobb, a lot of community groups and businesses have stepped up to cover the cost of the rides so their registration fees can all go back to the Child Protection Network.
