The provost of a university in Minnesota has been named the new president of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.
The school announced Monday that Hamline University provost Eric Jensen would take the job, replacing Dick Wilson who is retiring next month. Jensen was selected after a nationwide search. Hamline is a private school in St. Paul, Minnesota, with about 4,900 students. He also worked at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, for 30 years.
While at Hamline, Jensen's responsibilities also included oversight of student affairs and creating the university budget with the school's chief financial officer.
