Sages Pull Away Late for Wet Victory Over Monmouth-Roseville

A wet night in Monmouth forced the Monticello Sages to abandon their high powered passing attack; which proved to be no problem as the Sages pulled away from Monmouth-Roseville late for a 48-24 win.

Junior QB Caleb Hanson played a majority of the snaps, leading the Sages offense up and down the field most of the night.

 width=Hanson and Sr running back Jacob Burton did most of the damage. Burton finished with 4 total touchdowns and 122 yards on the ground and an 18 yard reception.

Hanson had 11 carries for 66 yards.

Brandon Wildman finished the game 8-for-18 for 193 yards and 2 TD with an interception.

Through the air, Noah Freemon had 8 catches for 81 yards. He also kicked an impressive 31-yard field goal.

Tyus Welter hauled in 2 catches for 111 yards, both catches touchdown catches.

Nathan Graham rushed for a 13 yard score and finished 46 receiving yards on three catches.

The Sages finish the regular season 8-1.
