School Improvement Planning Underway in Clinton

width=The State of Illinois mandates Illinois schools take a yearly look at way to better their schools.

The process is underway in Clinton and according to Superintendent Curt Nettles, the things the state is looking for are measurable ways to improve. He explains factors include discipline, moral, testing and environments among many others to shape their goals.

For Nettles, his only requirements for his leadership team is to shape their goals and develop a plan for achieving those goals.

Lincoln and Douglass Schools this year will be focused on the health of their teachers. Nettles says the well-being of their staff can sometimes go unnoticed, and he feels it shouldn't because they invest a great amount of hours in the students of the district.

Once the plans have been formulated, the principals of each building present a brief synopsis of their plans to the Board of Education.
