No White Christmas This Year

The predictions of no snow for Christmas have come true as we get set to celebrate Christmas Friday.

You can blame El Nino for the mild weather so far in December, and it looks like the mild conditions will continue for a while. That's according to meteorologist Eric Schmidt, who says this means there will not be a white Christmas this year.

The extended outlook calls for the mild weather to last at least into early January meaning December could end up being one of the warmest on record.

Today will be rainy, with the possibility of some severe weather in Southern Illinois, but Christmas eve and Christmas day look to be mild and dry, with highs around 50 and lows in the mid 30’s.
