Medical Pot Advocates Approve 'The 8' Campaign

A poll released this week by a coalition of medical cannabis supporters shows majority support to expand the pilot program to include more conditions.

Caprice Sweatt, founder and CEO of Medical Cannabis Outreach, says the poll indicates 80 percent of Illinois voters believe in the pilot program while nearly 70 percent think the program should be expanded. Sweatt says those aren’t the only statistics to look at. She says people are turning to medical cannabis because of the negative impacts of pharmaceuticals.
