The costs of epinephrine has recently come under fire as it was announced last week prices would spike exponentially for the life saving drug.
In advance of that announcement, Sen. Chapin Rose proposed legislation that would lower the costs of the administration tools for epinephrine. It was signed into law by Governor Rauner last week.
Sen. Rose calls the legislation "life saving" and says it will make delivering vital services to the citizens of Illinois more affordable.
Under current law, epinephrine can only be dispensed using the far more expensive epinephrine auto-injectors.
