Operators returned Clinton Power Station to full power Sunday after completing a brief maintenance outage that began Dec. 9.
During the outage, technicians replaced and tested a small electrical transformer.
The unit was synchronized to the grid at 5:13 p.m. Friday and reached full power Sunday.
Clinton Station is located approximately six miles east of Clinton, Illinois.
The nuclear energy plant produces 1,069 megawatts at full power – enough electricity to power about 1 million typical homes.
