The Apple and Pork festival was this past weekend with lots of vendors and tourists coming to Clinton.
One of those vendors was Wapella's Veterans of Wapella, raising money for a new veteran wall. The Veterans of Wapella were set up just down on the square of the Apple and Pork Festival helping raise money for the new wall to honor veterans of Wapella.
After the school closing in Wapella, Bryan Atwood, mayor of Wapella, said there was a lot of tension in the town. He hopes the new wall would help bring down some of the tension and bring the community together.
It was their first year attending at the Apple and Pork festival and Atwood would like to go again to continue raising money to make the wall as big as possible.
