Community Action Says Start Thinking About Head Start Now

Community Action is trying to get a jump on the upcoming school year and make sure they have a full roster of students for their pre-k and birth to 5-year-old program, Head Start.

Executive Director Alison Rumler-Gomez indicates they can get into August and are still looking for kids to join their program but also, there has been a change in when registration for the program starts, and it is now in January when tax return season kicks off.

Rumler-Gomez indicates the whole program is now center based. The birth to five programs was home based but that has since changed.

Rumler-Gomez indicates there is limited space in the program. She encourages parents and caregivers to get the process started as soon as they can. Visit capcil.info for more information. You can also call 217-732-2159.
