Earlier this year, Jeff Morlock expanded his efforts for local veterans.

Morlock for many years has been instrumental in coordinating local veterans to be a part of the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, which gives veterans and a guest the opportunity to see the memorials that honor wartime heroes in Washington, D.C. Morlock earlier this year started 'Battlecross Crusaders', a program that honors fallen local veterans.

At the Apple n' Pork Festival, Battlecross Crusaders served up Italian beef sandwiches and they were raffling off several items. He indicates the Festival brought forward a local business owner that wanted to step up and support the program in a big way.
