Lady Maroons Top Sullivan

In a game heard Thursday night on WHOW, the Clinton Lady Maroons picked up a CIC win over the visiting Sullivan Redskins, 61-50.

 

Clinton jumped out to a 19-10 lead after the first quarter, but the Lady Redskins rallied back to tie the game at 44 apiece entering the 4th quarter.  The Lady Maroons regained the momentum early in the 4th, and pulled away out scoring Sullivan 17 to 6 to end the game. 

 

Clinton was led by senior Faythe Newberry with 17 points. Junior Tori Wilson added 14, and was the Stephan York Country Financial Player of the Game. Sophomore Madi Filkin and freshman Savanna Moore also added 10 points each. 

 

Sullivan was led by freshman Brooke Tuttle with 18. 

 

Clinton improves to 11-14 overall and 3-4 in the conference. Sullivan drops to 7-16 with the loss and 1-6 in the conference.
