Warrensburg-Latham Uses Big Fourth Quarter Past Maroons

Garrett Shea scored 34 points leading the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals past the Clinton Maroons 77-46 Tuesday night in Central Illinois Conference boys basketball action.

Will Gustafson and AJ Duff added ten points apiece for the Cardinals who remain undefeated at 23-0 and are 5-0 in CIC play.

Jacob Overton paced the Maroons with 14 points and Austin Baker added 12 points as the Maroons drop to 7-17 overall and are 2-3 in CIC action.

The Maroons were outscored 28-6 in the final period.

The Maroons were without leading scorer and rebounder Peyton McCubbin Tuesday. Coach Clay Haurberg felt his players played well, holding their own for three quarters.

Haurberg said quote - 'We were pleased with the heart our kids played with tonight against one of the finest clubs in the state."
