As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Lady Maroons fell to the Rantoul Lady Eagles by a score of 44-36 on Monday night. The Lady Maroons were led by senior Faythe Newberry with 11 points. Junior Tori Wilson also chipped in with 11 points and was named the Country Financial representative Maroons Player of the Game.
The Lady Eagles were led by sophomore Faith Johnson with 10 points.
With the loss the Lady Maroons fall to 12-14 overall and 3-4 in the Central Illinois Conference.

The Bloomington Central Catholic Saints used a 19-5 third quarter to overcome the Monticello Lady Sages in girls 2A Sectional basketball action Monday night.
Trailing 25-21 at the half, the Saints used a 17-2 run and never relinquished the lead as they move on the Monticello Sectional Championship game Thursday night.
The Lady Sages opened up with a nine point advantage in the first quarter and controlled most of the first half.
Monticello was led by Zanna Myers ten points and eight rebounds. Emma Reeder and Jenna Prather had eight apiece.
Claire Caldwell had nine rebounds to lead the Lady Sages.
Central Catholic was led by Sydney Shanks 18 points. Lexi Davis added 11.
The Lady Sages end their season at 21-5.
