The Monticello Sages boys baseball team opened with 12 runs in the first inning of their 17-0 route of Arthur in non-conference boys baseball action Tuesday afternoon from Monticello High School.

Garrett Myers paced the Sages with five RBIs and Luke Stokowski tallied three runs batted in as well.

Tyler Jones, Nate Graham and Austin Wiggins had a pair of hits apiece.

Myers and Cam Wittig combined for one hit shutout. Wittig tallied eight strikeouts.

The Sages are now 3-0 on the season.
