Ohio State Unveils $42-Million Stadium Renovation

Ohio State is investing $42 million into renovations for Ohio Stadium that are scheduled to be completed by 2020. The renovations, which include upgrades to the premium seating area and luxury boxes, will reduce the stadium's capacity from 104,944 to 102,854.

The renovations of the stadium will restore and re-coat the 94-year-old concrete on C-deck, upgrade power distribution systems, upgrade B-deck with improved lighting, televisions, sound systems and scoreboards, renovate the premium seating area and add 35 new loge boxes and 12 luxury suites.

The C-Deck restoration will start in 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in 2020. The removal of 2,600 seats -- most of which are obstructed view seats currently -- will take place before the 2018 season. The construction of new suites and loge seats will be completed in 2019.
