ISU Rained Out Sunday, Lose 2 Straight To Dallas Baptist

Dallas Baptist starting pitcher Darick Hall provided all the support he needed by himself, as the Patriot starter launched a three-run home run in the top of the first inning Saturday to stake the visitors to an early lead they did not relent, en route to a 7-1 win over the Illinois State baseball team at Duffy Bass Field.

Hall went 2-for-4 with four RBIs from the plate, while doing his part from the mound as well. The right-hander allowed just one run on five hits, while striking out five over six innings, to earn the pitching win.

Sean Beesley was the only Redbird hitter to reach base twice, as the senior outfielder doubled and walked.

The Redbirds lost Friday 7-2 and Sunday's contest was canceled. Illinois State is 8-22 overall.
