The Monticello Sages offense just could not get going Tuesday afternoon, as the Sages fell 2-0 to Tolono Unity in Okaw Valley Boys baseball action.

Mitch Rhoades finished 1-for-3 with a walk and was the only Sages hitter to reach base twice. Jacob Burton, Logan Hislope, Konnor Bundy, Nathan Graham, Garrett Myers and Tyler Jones all recorded singles for Monticello.

Tyler Jones allowed two runs on five hits, issuing four walks and struck out six.

Bundy pitched a scoreless inning of relief, allowing a hit and a walk and struck out two.

The Sages are now 13-6 overall.

They'll be back in action Thursday hosting Unity.

Yesterday, Coach Chris Jones announced next week's games against Urbana and Mt. Zion have been canceled.
