Clinton High School senior girls basketball player Alex Johnson signed her National Letter of Intent Wednesday afternoon to play basketball at North Park University in Chicago.
Johnson says North Park is a great fit. She indicates her final choices were between North Park, Indiana State University and MacMurray College.
Johnson explains her time in Clinton was very enjoyable and says her and her senior teammates were very close all the way through their time together.
Ever since she was a kid when she saw an Illinois State game, she knew she could and wanted to play at the next level.
Clinton Athletic Director Barry Gurvey says student-athletes like Johnson are an example of what they hope for for Clinton athletes. He says it is always a great opportunity to play sports in college and have it paid for.
