The Clinton Maroons could not complete the come-back against Shelbyville Friday night and fell to the Rams 6-5 at Clinton High school.
Logan Peterson took the loss, he pitched 1 and 2/3 innings, gave up 3 runs on one hit while walking 2 and striking out 2. Drew Stacy started at the mound, gave up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. At the plate, the Maroons were led by Logan Peterson going 2-3, with a home run, a double, and an RBI. Mathew Overton with 1-3, with a 2-run home run.
For Shelbyville, Kolten Reed got the win, pitching 2/3, allowing 1 run on1 hit, 3 walks while striking out 4.
