As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons defeated the Shelbyville Rams by a score of  48-14 on Friday night. The Maroons were led by the Nate Ennis State Farm Player of the Game Tyrese Petty. Petty had 15 carries, 219 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Garrett Wayne had 18 carries, 116 yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 6 of 13 passing, 84 yards, and a touchdown. Kevin Rodas had 8 carries, 51 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Clayton Welch had 2 catches and 33 yards.

The Maroons defense forced 3 turnovers, held Kentrell Beck to 10 carries and 34 yards and 1 fumble, passing 11 of 19, 137 yards, a touchdown, and 2 interceptions.

The Clinton Maroons improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Shelbyville Rams fell to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
