Winners of three-straight games, No. 7 Illinois State (6-2, 3-1 MVFC) continues its homestand with a crucial conference matchup against No. 9 UNI (5-3, 3-1 MVFC). The Redbirds and the Panthers are tied for second place in the conference standings along with South Dakota State, who both teams play in the coming weeks.

Illinois State currently sits at No. 7 in the FCS Coaches Poll and the STATS FCS Top 25. Four MVFC teams are ranked again in the polls this week, including North Dakota State (No. 1), South Dakota State (No. 4), Illinois State (7) and Northern Iowa (9).
