Boy's Basketball: Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers Have the Makings of a Special Season

The Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers boy's basketball team has all the ingredients for a special season.

Coach Ryan Diebert says it's adding to the fact they are looking forward to a normal basketball season in the winter of 21-22. While they lose a key contributor in their lone senior, Grant Davis, the Hilltoppers bring back a good majority of its minutes for a team that won its second straight Tomahawk Conference title.

According to Coach Diebert, they like to run the floor but feels like they do the small things well that leads to success. He says they want to play unselfish basketball and make the smart basketball play.

The Hilltoppers will get a good test in the non-conference with a good amount of Sangamo Conference teams as well as Warrensburg-Latham among others. Coach Diebert is looking forward to being back for a normal and full basketball schedule.

The Hilltoppers open its season next week when they host an eight-team Thanksgiving tournament.
