Tuscola Takes CIC Tourney Title Over Lady Maroons

In a game heard Thursday night on WHOW, the Clinton Lady Maroons fell to Tuscola in the Championship of the CIC Conference tournament, 50-38. 
 

Clinton struggled from the field all night; only hitting 3 field goals in the first three quarters of the game.  Tuscola used tight defense, and spectacular 21 of 22 free throw shooting to get the upset win.  The Warriors jumped out to a 31-16 lead at half, and maintained from there.  
 

Clinton beat Tuscola in conference play on December 2nd, 45-26. 
 

The Lady Maroons were led by the WHOW/Serv-Pro of Piatt & Dewitt County Player of the Game - Kaitlin Rauch.  The senior paced the Maroons with 11 points.  Mallory Cyrulik was held to 10 points, and Heidi Humble & Kylie Raymer added 6.  
 

Tuscola was led by Harley Woodard with 14; Ella Boyer with 12; and Sophia Kremitzki with 11. 
 

The Warriors improve to 15-7 with the win.  Clinton falls to 24-5 with the loss. 
 

The Lady Maroons next host Meridian next Thursday night for Senior Night.  Hear that game on all WHOW platforms.
