Maroa-Forsyth Rolls Riverton

Three players scored in double figures and Maroa-Forsyth used balanced scoring in a rout of Sangamo Conference rival Riverton in a 70-46 win Tuesday night from Maroa-Forsyth High School.

 

The Trojans led 37-20 at the intermission as they opened up a 53-33 lead at the end of the third quarter.

 

Egan Franzen paced the Trojans with 15 points. Kaiden Maurer scored 13 points and Jaxson Grubbs chipped in with 12 points. Mitch Williams, Zayn Giles, and Ethan Willoughby each added seven points and Braxton Mitchell scored six points.

 

With the victory, the Trojans improve to 4-1 in the Sangamo and are 13-8 overall. 

 

The Trojans take on Pleasant Plains Friday night on the road then host the Illini Prairie/Sangamo Conference shootout and host Prairie Central in the nightcap of the day's action.
