In a game heard on 95.9 FM WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, a three-run second for Westville allowed them to get by Monticello 4-2 in non-conference high school girl's softball action Tuesday from Monticello.
Abby Sabalaskie roped a two-run triple to cap the three-run outburst and went seven complete innings for the Lady Tigers. She struck out 11 and allowed only seven hits to no walks.
Lizzie Stiverson went deep in the sixth inning for Monticello and Addison Wallace drove in a run in the third inning.
Stiverson was named the ServPro of Piatt/DeWitt County Player of the Game for her solo home run.
The Lady Tigers move to 12-1 overall while Monticello drops to 6-7.
