After completing a three-game homestand, Illinois State will hit the road for the first time since September 3 when the Redbirds (2-2, 0-1 MVFC) head to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to take on the UNI Panthers (2-3, 2-1 MVFC) at the UNI Dome.
For the third time in just four games played, Illinois State senior linebacker Zeke Vandenburgh was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against Southern Illinois. Vandenburgh tied his career high with 14 tackles against the Salukis and finished the game with a sack and 3.5 tackles-for-loss.
