Maroa-Forsyth Edges Decatur St. Teresa

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans used balanced scoring to rally past Decatur St. Teresa 52-49 in non-conference high school boy's basketball action Tuesday night from Maroa-Forsyth High School.

 

The Trojans held a 15-11 lead after the first quarter where MItch Williams scored seven of his 12. The Bulldogs rallied to a 28-26 lead at the intermission and held a 39-37 lead after three quarters.

 

But the Trojans outscored St. T 15-10 to rally to the victory late.

 

Kaiden Maurer led the Trojans with 14 points. Williams added 12 points while Grant Smith scored 11 points. Zayn Giles also scored eight for the Trojans.

 

Ryheem Tyus led the way for St. T with 14 points. Billy Guyse added ten points.

 

The Bulldogs drop to 13-5. Maroa-Forsyth is 9-9 overall. 

 

The Trojans host St. Joe-Ogden Saturday night.
