In a game heard on WEZC, Raegan Little and Raegan Stringer scored 20 points apiece leading Tolono Unity to a 58-37 win over Monticello in Illini Prairie Conference girl's basketball action Monday night from the Sievers Center at Monticello High School.
Action was controlled largely by Tolono Unity throughout the night but an 8-0 run by Monticello right after halftime got them within 14 points, but that would be the closest they would be the rest of the night. From there, Stringer and Little combined to take the game back over and lead Tolono Unity to its 19th victory and fourth win in league play on the season.
Lydia Burger led Monticello with 13 points and five rebounds. Lucy Leatherwood added 11 points. Jobi Smith scored nine for Monticello. Maia High grabbed a team-best six rebounds.
Lauren Haas scored eight for Tolono Unity.
Monticello drops to 7-20 overall. They will host Williamsville on senior night tonight at the Sievers Center at 5:30 pm.
