The Monticello Lady Sages offense tallied 25 hits as they routed Champaign St. Thomas More 27-0 in Illini Prairie Conference high school girl's softball from Champaign Monday.
Avery Schweitzer drove in five runs to pace the Monticello offense. She finished a home run short of the cycle.
In a ten-run third inning, Lynnsey Trybom, Marrissa Miller, Sadie Walsh, Cassidee Stoffel, and Emma Stoerger drove in runs. Kaylin Matthews hit a home run as well.
Reese Patton picked up the win in circle for Monticello. She fired four shutout innings with six strikeouts and allowed three hits.
