HS Softball: Maroa-Forsyth Comes Alive Late to Get By Monticello

The Maroa-Forsyth bats came alive late and rolled to an 11-2 non-conference victory over Monticello Wednesday afternoon in Forsyth.

 

Megan Holub was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for the Lady Trojans. Lainey Larner was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs while Taylor Crouch, Valerie Foulke, and Peyton Peterson all drove in two for Maroa-Forsyth.

 

Marrissa Miller hit another home run for Monticello Wednesday. She was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Sadie Walsh was 3-for-4 with a double for the Lady Sages while Isabella Beery and Lynnsey Trybom each went 2-for-3.

 

Maroa-Forsyth goes to 16-9 overall. They are at Warrensburg-Latham Friday. 

 

Monticello goes to 9-11. They will travel to Rantoul this afternoon.
