Luke Martin homered and doubled while driving in three runs, Evan Cooper struck out ten in six shutout innings as Mt. Pulaski dispatched Havana 10-0 in a six inning, run-rule win Wednesday in non-conference high school boy's baseball action from Mt. Pulaski.
Martin finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored for the Hilltoppers. Mt. Pulaski put a run across in each of the first two innings and blew the game open with a four-run third inning then a three-run fourth inning.
Cooper allowed three hits and a walk. He faced four over the minimum.
Chance Payne doubled and drove in two runs finishing 3-for-4. Cooper was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Mt. Pulaski.
The Hilltoppers go to 25-2 overall. They travel to El Paso-Gridley this afternoon.
