HS FBall: Young Bloomington High School Squad Looks to Turn Heads in '23

A small senior class last year allowed some young players in the Bloomington High School football program to get significant snaps at the varsity level.

Coach Scott Godfrey is hoping that experience will lend itself to a step forward for the program this fall as the football season officially starts today with fall practices.

Coach Godfrey has some returning players at key spots. Bloomington last made the postseason in 2018, Coach Godfrey's first season as the head coach.

Bloomington likes to spread the football around and with so many playmakers, Coach Godfrey feels it creates good balance for the offense.

Getting Bloomington High School back to the postseason would be a successful year for Coach Godfrey and his team.

Bloomington opens the season hosting Peoria Richwoods.
