HS Cross Country: Clinton Runners Looking To Pace the Competition This Fall

The last couple of seasons have set the table for big expectations this fall for the Clinton cross country program.

Co-head coach Rachel Anderson-Lyons calls it very foundational and believes this group is hungry to have a big season this fall.

This summer, Clinton runners have been hitting the ground running - literally and figuratively. Coach Anderson-Lyons indicates there has been great dedication to training and they even took a trip to Colorado in June.

Coach Anderson-Lyons is excited this year because of the growth they are seeing from the improvement in their runners. Senior Drew Moser is leading the way in that growth.

The Maroons open their season hosting the 'Light It Up' meet on Saturday, August 26. Coach Anderson-Lyons indicates this was one of the first competitions out of COVID and it has stuck as it was a huge hit the first time they did it.

Coach Anderson-Lyons indicates their runners are gaining some early recognition as the girl's team is ranked ninth in 1A by MileSplit.
