The fall of 2022 was a transitional year for the GCMS football program.

Then first-year coach John Augsperger installed a whole new offense and defense as long-time coach Mike Allen had retired as football coach. Coach Augsperger says it was a change for everyone.

This summer, with the playbook nearly fully installed and a lot of kids from last year's team coming back, Coach Augsperger says they were able to hit the ground running. 

Coach Augsperger indicates this is a group that returns a lot of players from last year's squad including a lot of their skill position players and they are doing some moving around in their defense.

GCMS opens the season against Ridgeview.
